Former Valence exec joins SolarBridge
Former Coldwatt Inc. and Valence Technology Inc. executive Joe Lamoreux Inc. has joined SolarBridge Technologies as vice president of operations.
The microinverter developer, founded in 2004 as SmartSpark Energy Systems Inc., commercializes products for the efficient conversion and distribution of solar energy. It employs 30 workers.
Lamoreux served most recently as CEO and vice president of operations at Coldwatt Inc., which later merged with Flextronics. He was also chief operating officer for Austin-based Valence Technology. He's held senior management positions with Dell Inc. Compaq and IBM Corp. He earned his bachelor's in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.
In April, SolarBridge garnered $15 million in Series B financing, one month after accepting $1.5 million from the Emerging Technology Fund.
